Mary Engelbreit Home Companion Magazine

I have been a fan and subscriber to artist Mary Englebreit's magazine for years and since the magazine often does articles on small business owners that are primarily arts & crafts based I thought it would be great to write them and suggest they do one on Urban Botanic and "The Hive". I'll keep you posted if anything further developes from this-

I'm So Excited!!!

Today I rcvd my first lead from the company, I'm so happy! This lady wanted to know when the next party was in our area. I explained that I would be happy to meet with her on the phone or in person.
Also I am getting the nerve up to speak with the Events Department at the hotel where I work; we do weddings here and perhaps I could leave a small display in the office for prospective brides. The opportunities are definately great now and I'm very opptimistic, I'll keep you posted on the outcomes of both of these opportunities!

Slow Progress but still progressing

The last couple of weeks have been real slow businesswise. I have done several things on the net- this blog, a Yahoo group and a page on MySpace. Usually I have a little time to socialize at work, thus allowing me to talk about UB but we have been extremely understaffed and therefore overworked that my coworkers and I just want to punch out and go home. My family who are behind me 100 percent have been busy too, construction issues and my brother and sister in law are busy with their flower shop.

I'm hesitant to start any major project now as I am leaving for Washington State for vacation in about a week and a half, but I am having my business supplies sent up so that I could have a party or two while I'm away.

I intend on working real hard on my return as I have several ideas- speaking with my stylist about letting me put a brochure and business card display on her counter also getting up the courage to speak w/the local teen center about doing a craft class or two during the summer (Do you think I could do that?) also, several have promised to have parties so I'll reconfirm with them. So slow progess I guess is better than none-

Have Fun Promoting your Business(s) or Blogs!

It has been really a fun and informative experience promoting my Urban Botanic business on the worldwide web. I have been welcomed and encouraged by most, denied membership by some and even have been scolded by one group moderator for having bad manners! lol. But despite this I will continue to network and spread the good word about Urban Botanic-

Check out Urban Botanic!

Urban Botanic is a ground floor, party plan company which allows each party guest to create and design their own scent using any combination of the company's 66 different perfume quality oils. There is no charge for the blending process- once a scent is perfected, party guests then have the opportunity to add their creation to the company's unscented bath and body products. Unlike many direct sales or network marketing companies, Urban Botanic's products are very reasonably priced starting at $12.50 plus tax for bubble bath or shower gel. Please note- I am not knocking other companies, as most offer extremely high quality products which I use myself; Urban Botanics prices are just an added plus. Please do not hesitate to contact me via this blog or visit my sites listed at the top left of this blog page.
